Erika Kauffman

Erika Kauffman joins our team bringing 18 years of child development experience and her 3 children. She graduated from Salisbury University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Child Development and then from University of Maryland with a M.A. in Social Work and a focus on Community and Social Action. For 3 years she was privileged to intern and then work for the Center for School Mental Health, piloting evidence based practice groups in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to that role she worked at Kennedy Krieger Institute, being trained as a Behavior Analyst. Over the years she has also worked as a Tutor, Case Manager, Assistant Teacher, Marriage and Family Therapist, Grants Coordinator and Assistant Director at C2 Learning Center. "Running social groups and building community is what I have been doing my entire life. We moved a lot when I was a kid so I was always making new friends and bridging gaps in broken circles. It is the strong community of support at CLAP that has lead us to make a commitment to join and serve where we are planted. I am honored to join the CLAP homeschooling Tribe and work alongside so many very talented and like minded professionals to bring the fun and creativity back into learning while creating a strong community that extends beyond our walls."

Amanda Drake

Amanda Drake is entering her fourth year as a homeschooling mother of two (ages 6 and 3), and now brings her years of professional experience, love of the arts, and passion for play-based learning to the CLAP teaching community. Amanda completed four years as a theater major at the Pinellas County Center for the Arts (PCCA), going on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising/Public Relations from the University of Central Florida. Her experience with theater and creative thinking helped drive her successes as a PR professional for 8 years - public speaking, writing, planning and creating fun campaigns, building relationships, and connecting with audiences. When her first child turned 3, she decided to launch a wonder-filled home preschool co-op that followed the curriculum, "A Year of Playing Skillfully," which she has taught for three years. As a singer, music is her favorite gateway to early learning - she often calls upon music, songs and movement in her own lessons to engage every area of preschool development. At her home church in Largo, Amanda currently leads Preschool Music for Vacation Bible School, is a Soprano soloist, ensemble praise team and choir member, and has served as a preschool volunteer/teacher for the past six years. She also leads a Girl Scout troop here in Pinellas County. One of her children has special sensory needs, which shapes her approach to teaching, her sensitivity to meeting each child where they are, and a deep desire to foster a love of learning and joy of community for all. Amanda's ultimate parenting role model is Daniel Tiger's mother, and she has been known to get just as excited as students when it's rainbow parachute time!

Instructor Bio

Vicky Webster

Hello all!!! My name is Vicky and I am the lucky mom of three kiddos. I have always loved cooking and especially sharing the love with others, particularly children. My daughter's earliest memories are of all her friends wanting to go to Momma Vicky’s house to bake cookies. My children have food allergies and the stores don't carry safe items that my kids want to eat. So, over the past 20 years I have adapted recipes and come up with some pretty yummy creations, without all the processed ingredients. About 10 years ago I decided to take a leap and started selling my items at local markets. I have become very adept at making tasty gluten free, paleo (no processed sugar and GF) and vegan foods. I am super excited about sharing this with you and your children!!!
